Using this mat on a low pile carpet works good but a roll around chair does have a tendancy to deform around the wheels. You must jog the chair out of the indention. The mat does stay in place.

No need for a more expensive chairmat

I purchased this chairmat for my home office. It sits on the type of carpet one uses in their home (not commercial grade). I was concerned that it would not be adequate that I would need a thicker product. I took a chance on it. It works just fine. I'm very pleased.

Fits well and holds well to the low pile carpet. Already a couple of small divots where the chair(s) are (ordered several for office) time will tell if these get any deeper

The mat is perfect for thick pile carpet. Must be careful though as the chair rolls so easily that it may roll off on to carpet turning over. Another warning the smell can be pretty strong.
