Good quality for the money. Slightly larger marginally higher grade mats are over $70. This one priced around $15 was the obvious choice. It serves its purpose well and I would recommend this product.

Purchased to replace old cheaper one that develped splits and holes.Like that this is smooth with no ridge pattern.

Cracks apart in cold weather

This mat has completely failed. Once temperatures drop below 65 degrees in office it chunks and cracks eventually leaving gapping holes exposing my carpet. The same thing happened to the original one I purchased. I had to jump through manufacture hoops to get a replacement. Staples does not handle replacement. Current mat is the replacement and it failed too. Bummer.

keeps moving

i ignored the reviews about the mat sliding and i regret it now. it's getting on my nerves. the mat continually slides forward when i scoot my chair forward. now the mat is permanently warped/bent from having repeatedly clashing with the base of my desk. i cannot flatten it out. i might have to just take a scissors and cut out this warped area. i had another similar mat for 10 years and it NEVER did this.
