I was overall not impressed. The first mat I paid for and took home I found was ripped at the crease when I opened it. I returned it and got a new one. I put it on the floor and liked it. The next day I moved a desk in my office and when I picked up the mat I found it now was ripped in the crease. I went back a third time and this time was greeted by a nice man coming from the print area as I was walking in and he was very custormer friendly and verylpful. I wish I remembered his name. The first two times I came i the person at the cash register said nothing.

This is a decent mat best used for hard surfaces or very thin carpet. The thickness is minimal & if you are of decent weight on moderately thick carpet your chair wheels will sink somewhat into the mat. I am able to slide around alot better than without it & it's better than nothing. A thicker mat is best for thicker carpet. Not sure how long it will last though. It's good for the price I paid though
This mat is not as durable as my old one. The chair leaves "dents" in the mat which makes rolling to a different position difficult. I would not recommend it.

Flat Pile Carpet Chair Mat with Lip

The mat is thick and made of quality plastic that's pliable. Unrolls and flattens within a minute or two under the weight of a chair. My chair easily maneuvers over the surface without the mat shifting and the lip provides good foot traction for getting up or moving forward or back. And you can back up in your chair without going off the mat which made it the perfect size for me. A winner!
The mat does not stay stable on top of the carpet. I had a sales rep. assist me and never was told that it was possibly for a thin carpet. Now every minute I need to straighten it (not kidding)…Truly disappointed…
The chair mat was delivered flat which was good. It is fairly thin so light duty. Wheels from the office chair is already leaving indentions on the mat. I don't expect it will take long for those indentions to be permanent and make rolling the chair on the mat difficult. So I expect to replace it within a year which isn't such a big deal at $28.00 for the mat. However a heavier duty thicker/more rigid mat might suit you better … I hope this helps with your decision to purchase this product. Wouldn't want you to go through the hassle of returning it if you need something "more."
