I wound up working from home for a good period. My occasional desk became an all day desk and my chair kept getting hung up where our area rug stopped and the hardwood floor started. There was no real viable way to move the rug without just getting rid of it but we liked the rug.Getting this mat totally solved the problem. I put it over the area rug in the corner and it keeps the rolling chair from getting snagged. Total improvement to the work space.
The mat itself is OK. When it was delivered it was folded into fourth and placed inside the storm and front door. The fold is permanent and the mat is not useful.
I like the mat but there are a couple problems. My chair wheels make dents in the mat and my chair gets stuck in the ruts. I paid more for this mat expecting better quality and mo more of this problem. Another issue is the mat slipping and shifting on the floor. I bought the mat which was advertised for my type of carpet. I did not expect to have this problem.
Item is not very big so works well in smaller work spaces. I purchased two for a horizontal fit. Staples brand was the least expensive option available at time of purchase and the quality is decent (thick). I would recommend.
Supposed to be heavy enough to use with medium pile carpet. With 1/4 inch berber the indentations were so deep I could hardly move my chair and I only weigh 165. Would not recommend this product for use on carpet of any height.
Again I was very disappointed with my chair mat I ordered it for "medium Pile" which I believed was a match for my carpet. However it scoots around and has to be continually moved away from my furniture. I will try to remember that I obviously have "deep pile" when I can afford to order another one. It would be more helpful to give your customers a better way to get the right "pile' when ordering small medium deep just doesn't work.
