will not cut tape

total waste of time and money... useless and does not do the job... don't buy one!!!

Does not cut the tape.

This tape gun is terrible. It doesn't cut the tape. What a waste of money and waste of tape. Very dissatisfied with this product. Definitely not worth the 3m price.

GARBAGE

THIS THING IS AN EXPENSIVE PILE OF GARBAGE! It will not cut the tape and when you try to help by applying pressure to cut it will severely cut your finger! So, it is a severe safety hazard and should be banned!
Only reason I didn't give it a zero is because that isn't an option! Such a BIG disappointment after all the years of using Scotch 3M products!

Twist of the wrist critical for cutting tape

I had a lot of difficulty with this model because it was not like my older (lost) one. I couldn't figure out how to cut the tape. After reading the response to the poor ratings, I see that a twist of the wrist is critical to cut the tape. My previous model did not have the retractable blade feature, clearly a modern addition, so it just cut. Now that I get the twist, I am ok. Probably need to add instructions somewhere on the frame.
