They are envelopes. No licking. Nothing special but they work. Don't buy no name on them because the sticker usually does not stick. Better a store quality or name brand. These are suitable and stay sealed.
I've purchased this type of envelope at Staples for a long time. In the past the paper was heavier and the flap glue extended more toward the edge. So I was disappointed that Staples is sacrificing quality for cost. I would have been happy to pay a little more for a better product.
These envelopes are of a good paper quality and are easy to close. The downside is that the adhesive should go the entire length of the envelope flap. I have to tape each end of flap so it doesn't get caught in the post office machines. Will buy again as are a good value even if you use a little scotch tape.
I like this product. The documents within cannot be seen thus securing your privacy. The easy close flaps were a breeze to secure. The size of envelops allows your documents to be enclosed without extra creasing.
These envelopes have two strong features: They are made of 24-lb paper instead of the 20-lb paper found in cheaper envelopes. In addition they are self-seal envelopes which eliminates the need to lick and seal (often in the dry climate in our part of New Mexico the adhesive on a regular envelope can dry too quickly after you've licked it so you may still have to use Scotch tape to help seal it). I only gave this product four stars because I think it is still a little over-priced for 100 envelopes; on the basis of quality alone I'd give them a five star rating.
