The envelope is 9 1/2" long with the bottom of the flap being 9 1/4". The adhesive under the protective strip is only 7 1/2" - leaving almost 2" of unsealed flap at the ends. To prevent the ends curling up and getting caught in the automatic sorting machines in the Post Office I have to tape each corner down whenever I use them - which is a lot. I won't be buying them again.
