Like most envelopes the sticky tab seems to not have the ability to be permanently closed such as an envelop that is 'licked' shut. One can quite easily open the envelope. With envelopes such as these I find myself using some tape to more securely fasten the tab shut. The envelope is suitable when it comes to the privacy feature advertised on the box. Like most other people I have come to accept this average product which is made for Staples in Mexico. The redeeming feature: if you are not satisfied with the quality you may return the product.

I really like these envelopes. They easily fir folded 8x11 paper and they are have easy seal strips that do not require licking

Excellent quality (letter/business size) envelopes. Appreciate the self-adhesive to close the envelopes ... no need to lick gummy backings. Comes in a box of 100 ... great value -- and great for letter writers!
