It's a good mat and I'm sure it will do what it's supposed to do i.e. protect the carpet from being beat up by my chair. After only about a week or so of use the wheels on my chair are putting some serious divots into it. I'm using it on a berber carpet with not a lot of pile. Don't know if that would make a difference. I'm thinking I should have got a hard mat instead of this soft one.

This chair mat is good quality is a good size and and generally works well but on my carpet (medium pile - nothing unusual) the mat tends to deform under the weight of the wheels. This leaves indentations that keep the chair from rolling smoothly. I would prefer a more-rigid mat.

The carpet chair mat is too thin and flimsy. I have a small-size office chair on rollers and the rollers have already made deep dents in the carpet chair mat. I had the old one for more than 20 years without this problem. I would gladly have paid more for a mat that works.

I wanted a stiffer mat this one came rolled up and it’s more flexible than I needed. It’s placed on carpet and “dents” where the chair rollers are. Since it was ordered on line and delivered I just kept it. Next time I go into the store and buy the right thing.
