Material is to soft chair wheels dent the plastic and therefore the chair/wheels do not slide easy. You need the hard plastic type.

My chair rolls around easily. And there is a lip on the edge which doesn’t seem to show up in the pictures. None of these last forever but I think this one will serve me for a long time. And I’m working at this desk everyday!

The mat does not support my chairs wheels. Therefore it makes the chair hard to move around. Simply the mat is not strong enough.
