I had bought a less expensive mat earlier at Staples for my desk chair. Although it provided a better rolling surface than the short pile carpet it was so thin & soft the wheels would literally sink into the mat. I ordered this one to replace that. It’s great! First it has short “fingers” that grip the carpet keeping the mat from shifting around. Also it is much thicker so the desk chair casters do not sink in. It arrived rolled up in a square box but fortunately it was hot outside so I put it out in the backyard to soften it up enough to unroll it! I’m very happy with my purchase.

Finally replaced my previous mat -- also from Staples -- that finally cracked after decades of daily use. This new one appears to have the same high quality. I like how smoothly I can roll my chair back and forth. Looking forward to many long years of service from this mat.

The chair mat was simply dropped on our porch. It had no wrapping and had footprints all over it. I worked with cleaners on both sides to clean off the footprints which were greasy or something more than dirt. With Fantastic and other strong cleaners they were very difficult to get off. The mat could have at least been wrapped with a clear stretch wrap or even paper.

Works as advertised on my (higher) low pile carpet. Very much an improvement. Material is thin so if you sit in one spot divots form in the mat. Not really a problem thus far you just get a bit stuck in a small depression (or 5 of them in my case). This would not be an issue for a more commercial (lower pile) carpet situation. Overall works as intended does not move around on the floor.
