This replaces an old carpet chair mat from Staples that lasted over 5 years before it started to get cracks and a hole (with constant use). Hopefully this one will too; it seems to be about the same weight and thickness as the old one.

MY husband decided he wanted a chair mat because I have been using one for a number of years and his chair is on a rug and just thought it would be easier for him to maneuver around. He loves it as I do too although mine is on a floor.
