I believe the label on the mat said for medium carpet which is what I had. But my chair wheels would immediately put a visible dent in the pad and prevent the chair from easily rolling around. Maybe this pad would work on a hard surface floor but I can't imagine any scenario where it would work on carpet.

This mat moves when your chair moves. No matter where you put mat in a matter of minutes it will have moved to a different location as you move your chair. It is so flimsy that my chair creates big valleys making it difficult to initiate a position change. VERY disappointed.
