I tend to replace these every couple of years. The office carpet is typical short office carpet so this chair mat should last forever. Unfortunately it develops cracks after a few years and needs to be replaced. I'll continue to buy them but are generally disappointed thus my 3 star rating.

This mat is way too soft to use on carpet the chair wheels sink into the mat making it very difficult to move the chair. Not usable for me.

Leaves indents from chair wheels
