This mat works well with a low pile carpet. However it can be prone to "denting" and temporarily trapping your chair in a divot.

it really struggles at the top end of medium pile carpets. Slides around a lot which isn't too bad to deal with just need to recenter it every few days but the plastic itself is pretty thin resulting in the chair easily making deep divots that you cant roll out of easily and that suck the wheels back in so small location adjustments are difficult

The initial cost is low but it is made so poorly that it has to be replaced in 30-60 days making it the most expensive mat sold. It took only an hour before deep pockets formed in the mat. A total waste of money.
