This is a replacement mat and although i's not as thick as the first one I had I am sure that it will do the job. It's a great deal for the price and since it's for home use than it's good enough.

Love these chair mats!!!

These chair mats are very durable and last a long time. We are located in the northeast and these mats endure the constant salt and sand that is dragged into our office during the winter. We have 5 of them in our office.

Doesn't work for me.............

With an office chair of normal weight and a fairly low-pile carpet this mat does not work for me. The chair casters sink into temporary indentations anytime the chair stays in one place for awhile making it very difficult to move the chair out of these "ruts" for lack of a better term. I doubt I will tolerate trying to use it for very long.
