this mat does not seem as durable as the last mat I purchased from Staples several years back; the same size for the same type of carpet for less money. I hope it last as long as the last one did.

It's called "Low Pile" but the mat actually says for Berber. It is a little soft so after sitting in the same spot for a while you sink in just a bit and have to overcome the depression to move. Lifetime warranty so that's good.

Bought this mat for our home office after we got new low pile nylon carpet installed and didn't want to leave chair marks on it. Works great.

It's exactly as I thought it would be. A piece of plastic to put under my desk chair!! So far it's working! Just wish it was a bit larger but it will do for now!

Mat was the right size for the area under my U-shaped desk. Seems to be working so far without any cracking or sagging but I've only had it for a couple of weeks.
