When the product I wanted a clear office mat for an office chair was not available in the the store the customer service person ordered it for me on a computer in the store. He promised that it would be at my house the next day. I was doubtful. But it arrived the next morning. Great service and great product.

Medium Pile Carpet Chair Mat w/Lip

I have medium-thick wall-to-wall carpet in my study and I have a lighter weight (1/4" thick) oriental carpet on top. Over the past 3 years I have had 2 carpet chair mats fail both cracked after approx a year of service. Staples advertised a medium pile carpet chair mat that was reasonably priced although slightly higher than the volume hardwood floor and carpet chair mats they carry in most stores. There is a noticeable difference in mat construction from the typical store model. Rather than heavy ridged construction running across the mat this has a short protruding grip pointing downward in about 1 inch intervals across the mat. The grips need only be long enough to prevent the mat from 'creeping' across the carpet. So far the mat appears to be holding up well. The chair moves across the mat with ease. Only time will tell its durability but I do believe the difference in design may account for better performance over thicker pile carpet.

This is the perfect size chair mat to use at a workstation. My carpet is 3/4" which is in the range for medium pile carpet but wish I would have ordered the high pile carpet mat. There are dimples left in the mat even when the chair is empty. The quality is good though so it should hold up as described.

Chair Mat for my new carpet

This mat was essential for my home office after I had new carpet installed. The wheeled office chair just dug in to the pile of the carpet making it very difficult to roll when getting in or out from behind the desk. This mat allows the chair to roll and will not damage the carpet. The delivery was fast and free.

i WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE CHAIR MAT. IT HAD A FLAW IN IT AND IT WAS SHPIPPED BOUND WITH A STICKY TAPE AROUND IT THAT TOOK A LOT OF TIME TO REMOVE AND SEVERAL DIFFERENT CHEMICALS TO FIND OUT WHAT WOULD REMOVE IT. IT WAS SOLD WITH THE STATEMENT IT HAD A LIFETIME WARRANTY ON IT. BUT NO INFORMATION WAS INCLUDED WITH THE PRODUCT ABOUT THE WARRANTY. VERY POOR SERVOCE ALL AROUND.
