Works perfectly

We have new hardwood floors and were told that constant movement of our desk chair would eventually show wear on the floor. This is so much better than the rug we had because it had a rubber backing and that too would harm the floor eventually. We looked at rugs without backing such as braided or rag rugs but they tend to slide too much and we worried that they would also be something to trip over. This actually slides a little which makes it easy to clean the area but it does not slide when we are sitting at the computer. For us it was the perfect solution.

Protect your carpet or wood floor

Would have liked something thicker and stiffer as that would have made rolling around on it easier (I put it over thick carpet---would be better on wood floor). As it is wheels on chair create temporary dimples in pad and moving on it is sluggish. Appearance is OK

Hope to save my wood floor

It took years of rolling back and forth in my desk chair but just noticed it is starting to wear away the finish on my wood floor. Too soon to tell but hopefully this mat will stop further damage.

It is good but must know a few things

I bought two of these. One was in the car and in the heat it became very soft and took some new fold lines. after a month it still does not sit flat on the floor. I have to return it. The other one is fine just moves on hardwood floor a little.
