The chair mat does protect my floor however without something to keep it from slidding around on my floor it becomes a slip hazard.

i have an office chair and it doesnt roll on this mat. i have to shift all my weight to get the chair to move. i would not recommend this to anyone. i was wondering why some of these mats cost $100 considering they are just a piece of plastic. i guess you get what you pay for.

Looks vs practical

I bought this to place on a carpet floor and was told it would work. My chair works great able to roll where I need to. The problem is that it the mat moves VERY easy does not stay in place.

I was expecting this mat to be a bit thicker and also expected that it would stay and place and not shift on my vinyl flooring.
