Horrible design changes - what happened?

We've used these for years without any complaints. However over the last few years the design has changed, most notably a larger hole in the sponge that wastes so much more detergent. I really can't understand that. However the biggest problem is that the sponge separates from the plastic backing after a few uses. I thought I bought a bad batch at first but I am on my second pack and they are doing the same thing. I even tried to hot glue the sponge back myself before I realized I shouldn't have to do that. It never happened before the changes made to the design, so thinking that had something to do with it. Please fix this!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hole makes dish soap seep out too quickly.

The redesign with the almost dime sized hole makes the dish soap seep out too quickly. It’s a horrible waste, yet I understand it was designed to sell more soap. I will not buy this product anymore even though I’ve been using this product under the old design for over 25 years. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Also the new plastic is very rigid on the new designs. Using the correct material in a product is very important to get a good design. Epic fail in my opinion.

Garbage!

Stopped using this product when hole first appeared. Made the mistake of trying the optional button version. Still used 5-7 days worth of diswashing liquid in 1 day. NEVER AGAIN!
Hasn't your staff heard of the New Coke debacle. Your company is even worse. Coke fixed their problem. In contrast, you've tried to hoodwink your customers with a useless cosmetic fix. NO MORE BENEFITS OF THE DOUBT FOR YOU.
PS - In 7 decades I've written complaints about products only a handful of times. You have the disgraceful distinction of being the only company to inspire 2 of my missives.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i have purchased two packs of the blue pads and one green and the head separates from the holder after one day.
i know how to use these and we have had some that lasted until the green scrubbie part was gone and never had an issue. something has changed in the last few months and i am disgusted at the poor quality!!!!

Great for cleaning my shower surround!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in return for an honest review. I was so happy to receive this heavy wand and refill product. I used one years ago and forgot how convenient this product is to use. I used mine not in the kitchen, but in the bathroom, specifically the shower. My shower surround has ledges with "grooves" and with this product, it was so easy to clean the grooves. Best part, I can use it while I finish my shower! Totally recommend this Dishwand for cleaning grooves in shower surround.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor Quality Control - Pear-Shaped Dishwand Refill

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Scotch-Brite dishwands for many years, probably as long as they have been marketed by anyone. In the old days, the shape of the sponge/scrubber head and the refills was rectangular. I NEVER had one of those refills separate from the hard plastic base that snaps into the dishwand handle. I would use those refills for a year or more, even with the heavy use I put them through as an almost exclusive hand dish washing bachelor. When 3M "improved" the design to the current pear shaped scrubber/sponge head and refill, I tried several and got a 100% failure rate in a matter of a few weeks, due to the separation of the sponge/scrubber material from the hard plastic base. I complained to 3M at that time, and asked for a replacement of the failed product, preferably with the older, more reliable and longer-lasting rectangular refills. My request was granted; I used the replacement, discontinued rectangular refills for several more years, up until recently. Now, forced to buy the new refills once again, I again have experienced a 100% failure rate in a matter of weeks for the currently marketed refill product.

I love these sponges, the trouble is you can hardly find them on the store shelf. Scotch-Brite needs to make them more available. Their new style of dishwand refills are too slick and pretty-much useless.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoy this product a lot. It lasts long, it doesnt smell like sponges do after a few uses and my dishsoap last 50% longer since it is not constantly being washed away by the water.
Highly recommended~
