the self stick is not a secure seal

I am disappointed in the product it is better than the Office Max ones I have been buying for several years however they need a better seal in this day when identy theif and theif is so wide spread. Did not realize these were merely paper 1st class mailers. Was more interested in the mylar 1st class mailers. Was disappointed that I ordered the wrong item and it was too late to return by the time I realized that I needed a mailing envelope! Bad on me for my mistake.

Envelopes do not seal well

The 10 x 13 self sealed envelopes do not seal well. It is necessary to put tape on the edges or your envelope will open and documents and papers will be lost. Years ago this products seal was more dependable and much more secure. This factor must be improved drastically. The envelopes themselves are attractive and relatively strong. They hold quite a lot of content. Yet Staples should be concerned that it is selling a "self sealing envelope that fails to deliver its advertised purpose. The bottom line is that you should not have to use tape to securely seal a "self sealing envelope.

Seal not adequate

I use a lot of 10x13 first class envelopes for business and it seems harder and harder to find a 28 lb envelope that does not break the bank. The price and the weight of these envelopes are right on but the seal is inadequate. You can undo the seal at anytime and reopen the mail and seal again without anyone being the wiser. Our business deals with people's personal information and so these envelopes do not work since everyone requires sealing with tape just to close properly. The cost savings for these is just not worth it for my business use. I am not even sure I would send general mail in them with fear everything would fall out.

i like them with the green rim with the first class printed on them. it is then clear to all it is FIRST CLASS mail

These quickstrip closure are the worst that I have seen. You just as well leave them off and save the dollars in the manufacturing process since I have to tape every envelope shut anyway.
