The seal (safety strip) is easily removed and the envelopes remain sealed. The envelopes feel as if they are made of thinner paper but they haven't fallen apart.

I buy 500 each month to send out communication for my group of people. They don't get wet and smug as if I was using a water bottle to seal the envelopes.
