Excellent mat

Love these. Bought 2 for our office to protect our newly refinished hardwood floors.. Loved them and ended up buying a second set to use in our living room under our recliners to protect the floors there as well.

Duped and disappointed.

I Googled "Wood chair mats." And among several hits that came up one came up from Staples for a Staples® 36 x 48 Wood Veneer Style Chair Mat for Hard Floors Cherry. After carefully reviewing the detailed description of this product I purchased it. I went to the store and picked it up and when I opened the box at home I discovered that the mat WASN'T made out of wood or wood veneer at all it was no more than a common plastic chair mat that was molded to look like it was cherry wood veneer. AT NO POINT DOES THE SHORT OR LONG DESCRIPTION OF THIS MAT INDICATE THAT IT IS ACTUALLY MADE OF PLASTIC AND MOLDED TO HAVE THE APPEARANCE OF WOOD. If it did I wouldn't have purchased it. Buyer beware. Apparently Staples has an issue with omitting critical information when it comes to accurately describing their products online.

DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE LAMINATE FLOORING!!!!!!

I purchased this chair mat about 8 months ago to use to protect my brand new Pergo XP flooring (one of the best laminates on the market). Yesterday I checked underneath the mat while doing major house cleaning. The Pergo XP flooring under the mat is very much so damaged from it. DO NOT BUY. I hope Staples stands behind its merchandise and replaces my Pergo XP flooring (about 12 - 14 square feet of it) plus labor !

I've just been using this chair mat for a couple of days. It is made of resin which prevents the coasters of my office chair to slide as is the problem with the hard plastic chair mats. Exactly what I was looking for. Hope that it is durable.

This mat is a nice thickness. It is a good mat for the price. Also I liked that the "spikes" on the underneath side are not so sharp like my previous mat. Note it does not have a lip. I didn't notice that [lack of] feature when I ordered but it works fine. Also I did not notice when I ordered that it is black. My previous mat was clear but it doesn't really matter. I should read the item description more carefully.
