This thing has really eased stress on my back -- I can switch from sitting to standing and back again very easily which makes it easy on my knees and my back respectively as I do laptop work. The construction and the locking mechanism is very solid. It's solid black which I like. It's rather heavy (17lbs) for what they claim to be "portable" -- you're not going to be bringing this to a coffee shop or the airport in your bag though I personally didn't care about that. The only downside which is quite minor is that the latch for raising/lowering it is on the right side and while the latch is not proud of the surface it does somewhat limit the usable space for the mouse (I'm right handed). You might say "well just turn the thing 180 degrees" but the handle (which presumably exists so they can claim the thing is portable) IS proud of the surface and interferes with my keyboard laying flat. If I used the mouse with my left hand then this wouldn't be a problem at all.

It is compact portable and sturdy with no wobble. I have plenty of room on it for the laptop mouse and notebook for notes as needed. My desk isn't too wide for a lot of other models. It doesn't have a keyboard pullout fyi.
