It appears thinner than the previous pads same size. It doesn’t take long for the chair wheels to dig into the pad and with my previous thin pad the pad began to deteriorate and I bought a new one but unfortunately it is constructed as the older. Will look at other office products for a more durable pad.

I bought it because I needed such an item. This one was reasonably priced. As it turns out it is too thin too soft and sometimes the five wheels on my chair make soft impressions in the chair mat.

This has nothing on bottom to prevent it from sliding around on carpet or floors. Also material is too soft- chair wheels make indentations in plastic surface when placed on carpet. So what is it protecting? I suspect material will not last more than a few months. Avoid this product.

This is the second one of these we have purchased from Staples. They both start out well but the first one started to crack and actually splintered to the point where it was a hazard for getting one's foot stabbed. Hopefully that issue has been eliminated or at least improved upon.
