It seems strange that this gets all kinds of dents on it from the chair castors. Doesn't seem to be very high quality. Also they shipped this loose no packing just taped into a cylinder shape. The fedex guy was struggling to keep it from opening up as he dragged it into the building.
I like the mat because it fits quite nicely under the desk. It stays put upon the carpet without shifting. The chair moves easily without much effort. It does just what I had hoped it would do!
First of all it does what it's supposed to do. However dimples appear in the plastic by just leaving the chair on the mat--without even sitting on the chair (standard lightweight office chair with rollers). If you sit in one place for 20 or so minutes the dimples are bigger and require a little effort to roll out of them. The good news is that it probably won't ever crack. If you get it shipped to you it comes rolled up. I would recommend using a hair dryer to heat it as you unroll the product. That's what I did since it was a cold day when it sat on our porch for several hours. Took about a week before it laid flat on the carpet. Seemed very expensive but it does the job and is just large enough. If you want to be able to roll your chair on carpet then this is the product. If you have carpet up to an inch thick including the pad I would recommend.
