The mat seems like it is a good thickness. However I purchased it for very low profile carpeting not plush carpet. I was hoping to avoid issues with cracking or denting that were mentioned in other reviews for various mats. Hopefully it will hold up very well!

there's a slight groove in the pressures points where chair meet mat but that means its a thick mat!

I guess I should have read the title and realized it wasn't a carpet floor mat that has "teeth" so it doesn't slip. But I made it work ok.

To thin your chair will sink in my son weighs 140lbs and it sinks into mat for him but will keep it since to much trouble to return

The mat was the right size for our home office. It is durable yet light. The traction pegs that grip the carpet are much improved from the old “spikey” prongs that hurt fingers when carrying the old style mat. Staples had a good selection of various size mats. Will buy again if need arises.
