I purchased the carpet chair mat for my small desk and make shift office area at home during the corona pandemic. It is great in side and heavy duty enough that my chair doesn’t sink into it and slide effortlessly.
I bought this to use with my second computer chair on carpet. I already owned one that I purchased from another retailer couple of years ago. The staples product is sturdy but not as much as the product that I am using. The staples product is OK for lighter chair and low carpet. It did not work for a slightly heavier chair. I could not roll the chair at all. Also it allowed for heavy press marks of the wheels. Staples advertised Free shipping but they charged $2.00 handling Fee. There is no packaging whatsoever. They left at the front door with lot of dust that we needed to clean up. Overall the product may be priced lower than similar products available elsewhere but so is the quality.
I would have defined my carpets as low pile however when using the mat my office chair on rollers sinks into the mat/carpet so I cannot easily move if when I need to move my chair. I'll most likely put a piece of cardboard between the mat and carpet and see if this helps. Other than that I do like the mat as it is perfectly square my chair would roll off the edges of my previous T shaped mat and this mat doesn't have the super sharp plastic prongs for digging into the carpet but can also scratch the hell out of your legs and puncture a toe while moving. Would be a five star product if it worked on my carpet type.
Came as described. Wasn't thrilled with the delivery was left on front steps wide open and filthy. It looked like the mat was on the floor of the delivery truck and was trampled. Had to completely scrub the entire item. Should have been rolled up in plastic to protect. Nice fit and good quality. Need to improve packaging for delivery of this item.
Works well for our desk. Although it doesn’t stay in the area. Seems to move too much. I think they should make the grips on the bottom longer for a better grip.
