We needed to have a chair mat that would protect our newly laid laminate floor in our study from our desk chair with wheels. It was just the right size and the chair rolls smoothly over it and no worries about our new floor. It is specifically for a floor rather than carpet and I'd definitely recommend it.

This was the larger mat and glad I picked it because I'm not rolling off the edge like I would have on the smaller mats. There are depressions created from the chair rollers but would probably have been much worse on the thinner mats. This would have been perfect if maybe an 1.8" thicker but still very satisfied with this mat. Much easier now than when rolling on the carpet. Makes working from home a little more tolerable.
