did not work well on heavy carpet that has knobs in it.... have ordered a solid piece of heavy plastic that will go on top of the Staples mat.....

Definitely worth the money for the extra thickness. Chair glides nicely and the size is perfect for moving around without slipping off the edge of the mat.
