I was actually very surprised how well this chair mat worked on top of the carpet. I’ve never had a whole lot of luck with plastic mats and carpet but this one really surprised me. I recommend this product

IT DOES THE "TRICK". After trying ROLL-OUT floor covering that only gathered up causing wheels of my chair to get jammed thought would try this and NOT at all disappointed.. but think could have used a larger mat.... probably next time...

Just What I Needed

The chair mat sits well on my rug and stays in place. It is quite heavy and of good quality.

Good size but not thick. The weight from the chair and me cause indentations in the mat so the chair does not move as easily as it could. Invest in the thicker more rigid mat if you have the money.

It's a plastic rectangle.

Needs to be "stiffer". Showing dents where chair wheels sit.
