cracks and splits after minimal usage

The carpet this mat was placed on was of minimal thickness. It split and cracked so I would definitely not recommend.

I've purchased 2-3 of these mats before and for some reason this one will not stay in place and I constantly have to realign it! the carpet is the same as the last one I had. what gives?

I continually used an expensive area rug Under my desk chair to help preserve the substandard carpet in my apartment. I bought the chair mat and now I don’t have To worry anymore. Just buy one and quit worrying!

I like everything about the mat except for the thickness. It is thin so when I have to move my chair when I am sitting on it the bumps make it her to move. You can't glide.

The price was great but I wish it were thicker like my old one. My old one lasted for 10 years. I do not see this one lasting more than a year or two if I am lucky. It is too soft too so I am not sure if it is just the thickness or the rigidness that would make it last longer.
