The mat is very nice but to lite the wheels thinks down a little so the chair does not move easy

Spend more money

I needed to replace my chair mat after moving my home office to a room with medium-pile carpet. I specifically searched Staples for a high-pile mat with larger gripping teeth because my old mat kept moving. This mat is rubber/plastic and is so thin that my chair wheels sink into it making it difficult to move the chair around. The mat's "gripper teeth" don't stop the mat from moving and shifting. I even placed the mat under my desk so its weight would help keep it in place but that was of little help. Don't buy this model - find something else.

It is doing the job for which it was purchased a piece of heavy vinyl protecting the carpet

This is a great size and quality mat. It is thicker than ones I have had previously so hopefully it will last longer and won't develop cracks.
