Does its job well.

This is the first chair mat I have ever bought. When I bought myself an office chair for my small home office room I knew I would need a mat to protect my hardwood floor. This mat does the job nicely and is roomy enough (I got the 36 inch one) to move from one end of my desk to the other and to move back and forward a little to vary my view of my computer.

I like the large size as it give me more room to move the chair around without going on my carpet.

I needed a slightly harder mat due to higher pile carpeting. My old mat had started to crack and literally break apart. This one is thicker and harder and works perfectly so far!

Staples 45 x 53 Medium-Pile Carpet Chair Mat with Lip

I went from a smaller thinner cheap chair mat that I use on a medium pile carpet to this larger Staples Chair Mat. I had to trim the lip to fit the knee hole in my desk. Found out right away it's too thick to do with a pair of scissors. Had to use tin snips. I like the larger size so I'm not always rolling off of it. My chair wheels do leave an indentation but it seems to go away after I leave the chair. I have never had a chair mat on carpet that didn't sink in some. It does creep away from the desk every so often but I don't see that as a problem either. I just reposition it. Happy with this product !! When the delivery people came to deliver it I was on the back porch and didn't hear the doorbell so they left a note. I signed the note and checked the square for them to just leave it at the back door the following day. I heard the truck pull in the driver grabbed the note and left the chair mat half on my front porch and half in my flower bed. Guess he didn't bother to read anything on the slip. All in all I am happy !
