I didn't realize when reading description that pile vs. not would make a large difference. I have trouble rolling my chair and 'feel' the spikes when I roll.

new chair protector seems fine. a little hard to vaccuum next to as it hits the edge instead of a gentle slope up.

It was delivered earlier than I expected( yea!) and it fits perfectly under my chair and desk. It was hard to find one without the lip in other stores. The man in the store was very helpful in showing me how to order it on the computer.

product dents badly should have been twice as thick and I know it will crack and be useless in no time. On shorter pile carpet it may be better. My carpet is half to 3/4" thick. The reason I gave it two stars is Staples excellent delivery time. You can't beat it. I'm looking for a bamboo mat ant lay it over the top of this mat. Should be OK.
