The product is the best chair mat that I have had but it does soften as the day goes on as I have deep carpet in my home office.

These mats are great! As a heavy person they don't actually break or snap. They'll indent if i'm in the same place for a long time but give great rolling ability and good size coverage. My husband has one and they fit perfect right next to each other. :D

Still doesn't seem thick enough for the pile of my carpet. Just the weight of the chair makes some dent. Don't know that I could do any better without spending an bunde or buying 2 to put on top of the other Came flat...a plus. I liked that the back wasn't as sharp as the ones I've gotten in the past. Made it easier to handle when carrying it to the office.

I have had this same carpet protector before. It says it is for high pile carpet and we have medium to low pile. Even so it still dents where the wheels sit when in use. I weigh 175 pounds and my wife is less. So here is what I do having had previous pads I cut a portion of the old cracked pad and place it under the new pad where the chair wheels usually roll. This seems to prolong the pad to some extent.
