This mat will not stay in place on carpeting and can not be used on hard floors because it does have small pins on it.

Its a good size. It stays well on the carpet. The only problem is that it’s not thick and hard enough. The wheels of my chair make dents and it’s hard for me to come out of the holes to roll my chair back and forth. Other than that it’s ok.
