too soft for most carpets

The price was right but perhaps that was because the construction is a bit lacking. i have a low pile carpet but even at that the wheels of my chair make large indentations when i sit making it difficult to slide on the mat. Also because it has no gripping surface on one side it tends to move.

Dangerous: Very slippery on hardwood.

Slides readily on hardwood floor to the point of making it a hazard. Have tried double sided tape to hold it in place but did not help much. Used one under the refrigerator in a kitchen with hardwood floors. Does a great job of protection against floor damage from refrigerator wheels and occasional food splits.

Great Floor Mat

Came on time....fits and looks great. Protects hardwood floor very well. Would have given it 5 stars but when it was delivered it was not in a box or any protective covering and was very very very dirty. No way it got that dirty just in the truck for delivery...Note to Staples...before delivering products not in a box or covering CLEAN off the dirt and grime first.

I purchased this mat from my local Staples. It was not hanging up but rather it was rolled up with the bottom facing outward. I didn't think anything of it until I tried to unroll it at home. You see the mat was rolled up with the bottom facing out which means it's pretty much permanently curled up with the bottom not flat against the floor. I tried to flatten it with heavy boxes and dumbbells for two days on the garage floor but it didn't work. I think the mat will probably work but whoever came up with the idea of rolling it up for storage and transport should be fired. The item is worthless and I'm out 30+ dollars.
