we use it at our computer desk on hardwood flooring it helps that the chair does not scratch the floor.

I use this mat over a vinyl floor. It needs to be much thicker to provide a smooth rolling surface. I have a chair with 5 casters on it and they create divots on the mat. I weigh 200 pounds; so that distibuted over 5 casters should not create divots in a supposedly solid pad.

Great value! Works very well...serves its purpose. The size is adequate despite not having much surface area to roll around on. This is understandable considering the size but I never had any intentions to roll around on my hard wood floors. I'd recommend this to someone looking to protect their hardwood floors!

The size of the floor mat is perfect for a home office that was one of the problems we had when we were looking for the mat in the stores most of the ones they had were too big in size for what we needed.
