This glue is apparently waterproof. It goes on purple and dries clear. It's a little sticky to use but once its on it's on for good. I make sauces and use this glue to adhere labels to the plastic containers and the necks of the containers. I do cover the label with clear packing tape so the label itself doesn't tear. The containers have been washed (by hand) over and over and the labels stay on. I bought several packs of these glue sticks because they are so reliable. Staples please don't change the formula.
