once it dried (on papers) it didn't adhere. The papers just pulled apart.

Sticks go bad fast glue isn't permanent

I bought the 18-pack since I use glue stick daily. I still had half the sticks left when they were starting the get dried out: they would leave clumps of glue on the page drag on the paper a lot more and the glued pages would separate readily. They apparently have a shelf life of less than two years. Still cheap but next time I'll buy a smaller pack or get a different brand.

Sorta hard to aply to paper. Not good
