I love the idea of the chair mat. However the mat itself is very soft so the chair rollers sink into the mat and it’s tough to roll on the mat. The mat also shifts and doesn’t stay put on the carpet. It’s possible the carpet pile is a tad high.

Flat Pad for desk chair on 3/4 inch carpet. The clear plastic Pad was not thick enough. Wheels of chair sink in too much. Staples needs a thicker pad.

The chair mat is very nice now but it eventually wears out and breaks apart. You know that when you buy one you are eventually going to have to replace it!
