My husband got one of these a few months ago for his home office and recommended it when it came time to replace my home office chair mat. We have medium pile carpet and my old chair mat cracked and had chunks starting to fall out causing my chair to get caught. This one seems to be much sturdier yet flexible. It arrived flat so no waiting for it to uncurl.

I got this for my office that we converted from a bedroom. So it has carpeted floors. Not wanting to ruin the carpet I purchased this chair mat. Well it's so thin the wheels of the chair creates divots so deep the chair doesn't roll freely. I should have purchased a mat that's thicker. So don't make the same mistake I did.

This replaces an old carpet chair mat from Staples that lasted over 5 years before it started to get cracks and a hole (with constant use). Hopefully this one will too; it seems to be about the same weight and thickness as the old one.
