This mat is just to supple and dimples with any chair pressure. This one might work for an industrial carpet firmness. I needed a more hard plastic mat for my carpet area. I just ordered the wrong mat for my needs. Staples was wonderful about the return and credit. I ordered a harder mat and should get that one in a couple of days. Thanks for your ongoing service and products!

Unfortunately the mat didn't work for me. As soon as I sat in the chair it wouldn't move because the mat sunk into the rug. Apparently there are different thicknesses for different types of carpet.

works as advertised. It flattened immediately and didn't have any weird off-gassing smells. Scoots around a little on the hardwood floor over the course of a full work day but I think that's to be expected and not so much that I find myself having to fix it more than once every few days.

I've been working from home since March 2020 and this mat was a couple of years old at that time so I believe I got my money's worth and bought another one. It's just big enough to allow free movement without rolling off the edge and it is soft enough to be quiet.
