This product is better suited to bare floor. On carpet my chair makes deep indentations in the vinyl which it cannot easily roll out of.

I urgently needed a floor mat after my carpet ripped from so much chair moving. This mat is sturdier than the ones for the same price you can buy online but was delivered THE NEXT DAY to my office. Unbelievable. Great!
