So far this mat is serviceable although it is showing indentations from the wheels of the chair. The previous one wore fairly well for several years but then had splits and broken lines. Fortunately my son was available to lift the desk while I slid the lip under the legs. It would be a difficult job for one person to do alone. A heavier duty mat would be a better choice if you wanted to spend considerably more money which I did not. You get what you pay for.
I put the chair mats on the carpet in my office. They were too soft so the casters of my office chair immediately sank into the plastic and I couldn't roll around. I immediately returned both mats and your friendly cashier gave me a full refund. Sorry they didn't work out.
