I have what I would consider a low pile rug and my chair rollers still sink into it making it a little difficult to roll sometimes. I had tried the low pile chairmat and it was horrible this one is better but not great .

The chair does not roll smoothly. It feels like you are rolling on a bumpy road and it takes a lot of effort to move the chair. Not at all what we were expecting.

Chair Mat for medium pile carpet

Unfortunately my chair does still cause the mat to slip somewhat. The previous mat must have been meant for very thin carpeting so this new mat is an improvement. I had hoped to not have to move it into position at all but I do--about every week. My carpeting would not qualify as thick.
