Good quality envelopes

These are the best envelopes for our use. They are affordable and sturdy. The peel and stick seals are such a time saver when we have hundreds of envelopes to stuff and seal and if we've forgot to put something in they are also easy to reopen and put additional items in. As a union we do a lot of mailings to our members with information on discounts that we offer them as union members. These envelope are durable and hold up quite well through the post office handling. We are starting on our third box and have had no problems at all.

the self stick adhesive cannot be trusted. I require additional tape to secure the flap. Otherwise they are good envelopes.

Poor quality at seams

I needed to send 4 000 catalogs out and chose these based on price. You get what you pay for; what I saved on the cost of the envelopes I lost (and far more!)on the cost of having to tape the seams shut or having to carefully open the ones that had glue leaking through sealing the envelope inside.

Envelopes don't stay closed in the mail

The recent change in the glue strip is really a shame. The envelopes don't seal very well and come open pretty easily. I can't use them for my business anymore :(

Good Weight & Easy To Use

We use these mailers for a variety of purposes and often have to send CD ROMs within jewel cases along with our documentation. They arrive without any problems...as far as I know. But as I can open the seal once in place any sensitive material causes me to tape over the sealed flap. However having the ability to reopen a sealed envelope has also been a benefit when I've forgotten to place something in the package. Overall...I will continue to purchase these catalog envelopes from Staples. No one makes a better envelope at this cost so I wouldn't bother spending time looking around.

Inspect before leaving store.....

I just had to relate this story as it's almost unbelievable. My wife picked up a case of these envelopes for me. She also had picked up some parts cut from a water jet place. On the way home she called me in hysterics saying ants were crawling all over her and that my "parts" were infected! After rushing home and investigating the culprit was this box of envelopes! During packaging (I'm guessing) some food particles got on top of the envelopes (maybe even down inside them). Don't know where the ants came from but upon opening the box there seemed to be thousands. I vacuumed out her car & sprayed indoor insecticide. Returned the box and the Store Manager was stunned (as was I). Although not funny at the time we can now joke about it. Strange eh!

Does not stay sealed

The peel off strip is narrower than the picture shows. We used these for several mailing and the envelopes would NOT STAY SEALED.

SUPERB SHIPPING ENVELOPES

I ship variety of products from clothing to catalogs and even hats and earmuffs - this envelope is fantastic and waterproof! Only con is you can see throug hit a little would be better if made in darker color.
