Only kind I purchase

This is the only kind of envelope that we purchase in our office as we need to have complete confidence in it as we deal with many different medical/personell issuse.

Mostly Positive But...

What I like: that they are easy to use. You tear off the strip and seal the envelope. What I DON'T like: they do not always stay shut. Every time I do a 500 piece mailing several come back from the Post Office empty which means that they opened up en route. Now I always look over ALL of the sealed envelopes in a mailing and add a piece of tape to many of them. This add significantly to the amount of time needed to process a mailing. I recommend these with qualifications. I wish Staples would improve the product as there aren't many alternatives out there.

Self-Sealing Security Envelopes

I work for a construction company. I have been purchasing these envelopes for several years. They are well made and with the security-tint the contects are well protected. Even though we have letterhead envelopes and two window check envelopes we use the blank quite a lot for inter-office etc. We also use them for paychecks due to the security-tint and the fact the contents cannot be seen. The fact the envelopes are self sealing makes the envelopes even more convenient. They may cost a little more than the envelopes with the strip but the convenience and quality are worth the additional cost.
